Orlando, FL – FL NOW PAC is pleased to endorse the candidates shown below. In making this endorsement, FL NOW PAC considered each candidate’s positions on the issues that FL NOW considers important: women’s rights, women’s equality, and LGBTQIA+ rights. These candidates answered a comprehensive questionnaire of their positions, showing that they strongly support the six issue pillars of NOW: freedom from violence against women, racial justice, reproductive healthcare, economic justice, and enforcing constitutional equality. These are the candidates that best support our vision for a better FL and America.

Rick Minor for Leon County Commissioner – District 3
Elected to the Leon County Commission in 2018, Rick Minor represents the citizens of District 3 and is focused on growing our economy by helping businesses bring quality jobs to the District and the County; improving our neighborhoods, roads and parks; reducing crime; protecting the environment; addressing homelessness and poverty; and ensuring that our local government performs at the highest ethical standards. Throughout his career, Rick has developed public policy for state and local governments but he’s also spent a great deal of time in the private sector. He has run the financial operations of a small business, managing accounts, and making payroll for employees.
David O’Keefe for Leon County Commissioner – District 5
Affordable housing is the foundation upon which every other measure of community success is built. During David’s first term, he led the way on our new annual GAP financing program for affordable rental housing serving low-income and very low-income families. He also voted to expand eligibility for accessory dwelling units and created tax incentives to encourage affordable rental housing development. In David’s next term, he will continue fighting to expand affordable rental housing opportunities and ensure that working families, seniors, and young people can afford to live in the community they call home.
