September’s Legislative Update

Written by Judi Marraccini / Legislative@flnow.org

After the Primary

The Florida Primary was on August 18th and I think the biggest surprise was Angie Nixon winning as the Democratic US Senator candidate.

Alexander Vindman lost the primary to state Representative Angie Nixon. Angie, a Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) member and also a grassroots activist landed a double-digit victory over Vindman despite being outspent by a roughly 10 to 1 margin.

National NOW PAC endorsed Angie in the race, so thank you for voting for her.

Many of FL NOW PAC endorsed candidates either won their seats in the primary or won the chance to continue onto the general election on November 3rd.

Please go to flnow.org/PAC to find out more information on these endorsed candidates.
