Delegation Meetings & Town Halls

Speak With Your Legislators Before Session

Every year before the Florida Legislature convenes, each county holds legislative delegation meetings or town halls. These forums bring together all state House and Senate members whose districts include parts of that county. They are open to the public, nonprofits, businesses, community groups, and individual constituents, and offer a key opportunity to:

  • Share local priorities and concerns

  • Ask questions directly of your representatives

  • Offer testimony (in person or virtually) on bills or issues

  • Build relationships with your delegation

These meetings are especially important because once the legislative session begins in Tallahassee, it becomes harder to access committee agendas, submit new issues, or set up one-on-one meetings. Use the delegation meeting to shape the agenda.
