11 Planned Parenthood Clinics in Florida Impacted by Funding Cuts, Denying Vital Services to Marginalized Communities

Trump Administration Withholds $27.5 Million from Planned Parenthood, Undermining Reproductive Health Care Access for Low-Income and Uninsured People
11 Planned Parenthood Clinics in Florida Impacted by Funding Cuts, Denying Vital Services to Marginalized Communities

ORLANDO, FL – The Trump administration has taken a destructive step by withholding $27.5 million in Title X funding from Planned Parenthood affiliates, including the 11 Planned Parenthood health centers in Florida. These clinics, which provide essential reproductive healthcare such as STD/STI testing, cancer screenings, prenatal care, contraception, and family planning services, now face severe disruptions to their operations.

This funding cut, part of a broader $200 million annual reduction to the Title X program, will drastically limit access to healthcare for millions of low-income individuals, people living in poverty, and uninsured patients. Planned Parenthood is one of the largest providers of reproductive healthcare for marginalized communities, offering services regardless of patients’ ability to pay.

The administration claims these cuts are due to “possible violations” of Title X regulations, as well as executive orders banning federal funding for programs supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Trump administration’s decision to target Planned Parenthood stems from its support for Black communities, immigrant access to care, and gender-affirming services—claims which many advocates have called discriminatory and legally unfounded.

Florida NOW President Debbie Deland said:
“Freezing $27.5 million in Title X funding is part of Trump’s ongoing strategy to create chaos, confusion, and fear—especially for low-income people, rural communities, immigrants, and anyone who can become pregnant. The administration’s accusations are baseless and discriminatory. Planned Parenthood is not violating Title X—they’re being punished for offering choice, and for standing with Black communities, immigrants, and anyone in need of care. In 2023 alone, Planned Parenthood served 2.8 million people. For many, Planned Parenthood isn’t just a clinic—it’s their only source of healthcare. We cannot stay silent. We must act.”
