FL NOW Education Fund

The Florida NOW Education Fund was established in 2007, as the Florida National Organization for Women visualized having a foundation to help educate and inspire women and girls of Florida.

MISSION

The purposes of the Fund are to conduct charitable and educational programs to promote women’s equality, to promote women’s rights and other human civil rights secured by law, to educate the public as to discrimination against women, to raise public awareness of problems focused on women’s issues, to identify and recognize outstanding Florida residents in the fields of women’s issues, and to provide scholarships for feminists to learn more about equal rights for women. The Fund is a nonstock corporation organized and incorporated under the Florida Revised Nonstock Corporation Act (the “Act”) and has the powers of a Florida nonstock corporation which are not inconsistent with qualification for exemption from federal income tax under Section 501 (c)(3) and Section 170 (c)(2) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.
The Florida NOW Education Fund accepts donations for projects which help disseminate and develop information necessary to engage, educate, and inspire women. Permissible project expenses include resources development and preparation of materials — such as interactive Web pages, brochures, pamphlets, videos, and articles,
