Florida NOW Screening: The Librarians (Virtual)

Join Florida NOW, TX NOW, and NETNOW for a virtual screening of “The Librarians” on Saturday, April 18th at 2 pm ET, 1 pm CT. The documentary follows librarians in Florida and Texas as they confront intimidation, harassment, and threats of violence for defending access to books, information, and intellectual freedom from coordinated censorship efforts.

As book bans and attacks on public education escalate, librarians are on the front lines of protecting free expression, LGBTQ+ stories, racial justice histories, and the right of young people to learn and question the world around them.
